Downers Grove South High School standout Ella Cushing’s college team won in NCAA Division I softball game on Thursday, Feb. 13

On Thursday, Feb. 13, former Downers Grove South High School standout Ella Cushing’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Tennessee State Tigers.

The game took place at Tiger Field. This was their first matchup against the Tigers this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. at Dail Softball Stadium against Central Michigan Chippewas.
