Cost of college went up for all students at the Universal Technical Institute of Illinois Inc
Tuition and fees rose 2.5 percent for 2018-19 at the Universal Technical Institute of Illinois Inc, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.
Illinois students paid $45,250 to attend the two-year private for-profit institution this year – $1,100 more than the $44,150 charged for 2017-18.
Data shows 95 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 380 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.1 million and 429 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.4 million.
Including all undergraduates (954), 869 students used grants or scholarships totaling $3.9 million, and 882 students took out $5.7 million in federal student loans.
