Chicago Democrats owes $2,250 in fines

The campaign committee Chicago Democrats owes a $450 fine imposed on Sept. 4, 2012, according to Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed look reveals the committee owes additional outstanding fines totaling $1,800 with Tom Swiss listed as the responsible officer.

ISBE Records dating back to 2003 show 172 area campaign committees owe a combined total of $995,091 in pending fines.
