Analysis: Willowbrook pays $4.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Willowbrook Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 81.4 percent of the $1,070,484 the Willowbrook Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $4.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Willowbrook contributed $871,363 to the fund, which saw a $67,994 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $199,071, or 18.6 percent, in 2018. Another $50 came from other unspecified sources.
