Analysis: Westmont administrators rank 171st in state for average pay

Administrators in Westmont Community Unit School District 201 earn an average of $115,823 per year, ranking 171st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 13.1% higher than in 2014 and 2.4% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 8% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Dupage County school district enrolled 1330 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 102 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
