Analysis: Oakbrook Terrace pays $2.65 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District
Taxpayers contributed 60.8 percent of the $111,540 the Oakbrook Terrace Fire Protection District brought in last year, or $2.65 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Oakbrook Terrace contributed $67,763 to the fund, which saw a $23,376 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $25,530, or 22.9 percent, in 2016. Another $18,247 came from other unspecified sources.
