Analysis: Oak Brook pays $6.58 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Oak Brook Firefighters Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 88 percent of the $2,046,712 the Oak Brook Firefighters Pension Fund brought in last year, or $6.58 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Oak Brook contributed $1,801,476 to the fund, which saw a $370,190 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $273,775, or 13.4 percent, in 2016.
