Analysis: Hinsdale pays $3.50 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Hinsdale Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 77 percent of the $1,056,735 the Hinsdale Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.50 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Hinsdale contributed $813,385 to the fund, which saw a $46,282 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $232,071, or 22 percent, in 2016. Another $11,279 came from other unspecified sources.
