Analysis: Glendale Heights pays $7.47 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glenside FPD Firefighters Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 88.2 percent of the $1,086,605 the Glenside FPD Firefighters Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $7.47 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Glendale Heights contributed $958,714 to the fund, which saw a $901,416 decrease in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $128,188, or 11.8 percent, in 2018.
