Analysis: Carol Stream pays $3.36 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Carol Stream Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 76.7 percent of the $2,700,828 the Carol Stream Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.36 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Carol Stream contributed $2,072,751 to the fund, which saw a $290,180 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $616,852, or 22.8 percent, in 2018. Another $11,225 came from other unspecified sources.
