Analysis: Bensenville pays $3.25 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bensenville Police Pension Fund
Taxpayers contributed 76.1 percent of the $1,519,233 the Bensenville Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $3.25 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.
In all, Bensenville contributed $1,156,668 to the fund, which saw a $93,756 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $355,632, or 23.4 percent, in 2018. Another $6,933 came from other unspecified sources.
