Wheaton’s Coley and Kohoutek receive CCIW men’s swimming & diving weekly honors
Wheaton College athletes Ben Coley and Zak Kohoutek have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Swimming & Diving Student-Athletes of the Week. The announcement was made Wednesday.
Coley, a junior, contributed to Wheaton’s performance against Calvin last Saturday with strong relay and individual swims. He achieved a lifetime-best 22.04 split on the butterfly leg of the winning 200 medley relay and an in-season best 45.89 split on the 400 freestyle relay. Individually, Coley recorded an in-season best time of 21.72 seconds in the 50 freestyle and set a personal record of 4:58.39 in the 500 freestyle.
Kohoutek, a freshman, competed in his first collegiate diving meet on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. He posted team-high scores of 145.50 and 134.30 points, respectively, which currently place him fourth in the conference for both events.
The weekly honors are part of CCIW’s ongoing recognition program for men’s swimming and diving student-athletes during the 2025-26 season.
Recent recipients include AJ Landorf from Carthage (Nov. 4), Michael Garland from Augustana (Oct. 29), and Lucas Rettig from Augustana (Oct. 22) for swimming; Taydin Murphy from Carthage (Nov. 4 and Oct. 22) and Carson Sehy from Carthage (Oct. 29) for diving.
