UW Whitewater Warhawks advance to NCAA Division III basketball tournament second round with 70-65 win

Former Waubonsie Valley High School star Lily Newton contributed to her current team, the UW Whitewater Warhawks, as they captured a 70-65 win over the Transylvania Pioneers in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament on Friday, March 6.

The contest, held at Williams Center at 8:15 p.m., marked their opening game in the tournament versus Transylvania.

The Warhawks will return to Williams Center for their next game on Saturday, March 7 at 7:15 p.m.
