Twelve CCIW football players named to D3football.com All-America teams

The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) announced that 12 of its student-athletes have been named to the 2025 D3football.com All-America Team. The announcement, made Monday, highlights players from North Central, Wheaton, and Carroll universities, with four athletes earning First Team honors.

Carroll University senior tight end Reed Breckheimer became the first player in the school's history to be named a D3football.com First Team All-American. Breckheimer finished his season with 46 receptions and nine rushing touchdowns, contributing a total of 60 points.

Wheaton College’s Peter Johanik was also selected for the First Team as a defensive end. Johanik led the conference with 14 sacks and 23 tackles for loss and set a new program record with 60 career tackles for loss.

North Central’s John Sullivan, who was recognized as the CCIW Don Larson Defensive Student-Athlete of the Year, received his third First Team All-America honor this season after recording 21 tackles for loss and 21 quarterback hurries. Graduate student kicker Aidan Ellison completed North Central's representation on the First Team by converting 15 out of 17 field goal attempts, including a program-record kick from 57 yards. Ellison also won the 2025 Fred Mitchell Award.

North Central led all Division III schools with six selections to the All-America team as they reached their sixth straight national championship appearance. Offensive lineman Cortez Jones earned Second Team honors while helping North Central achieve an average of 49.4 points per game—the highest in Division III football. Quarterback Garret Wilson made the Third Team after leading all divisions with a passing efficiency rating of 207.0 and throwing for 42 touchdowns. Wide receiver Thomas Skokna also received Third Team recognition by leading Division III with 23 touchdown receptions. On defense, cornerback Rahmareon Roby joined the Third Team after making four interceptions and scoring two defensive touchdowns.

Wheaton had five athletes recognized this year, increasing its all-time total to 55 All-Americans. In addition to Johanik’s selection, tight end Ben Juska and offensive guard Aiden Byrne were named to the Third Team for their roles in an offense ranked eighth nationally in scoring; Juska scored a total of 12 touchdowns during the season. Linebacker Zeke Harris was selected for the Fourth Team after recording a conference-leading total of 119 tackles. Punter Josiah Smith was named to the Fourth Team specialists list after setting a school record with an average punt distance of 45.8 yards; he is Wheaton’s first punter ever to receive D3football.com All-America honors.
