The Lane celebrates new classrooms as District 181 launches full-day kindergarten

Community Consolidated School District 181 hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at The Lane School to mark the opening of new classrooms and the start of its full-day kindergarten program. The event included community members, district administrators, and the Board of Education.

Mr. Brandon Todd, Principal of The Lane School, led the ceremony and welcomed new students to the school.

Dr. Hector Garcia, Superintendent of Community Consolidated School District 181, spoke about the significance of this development for local education. "The expansion to a full-day kindergarten program is a momentous step forward for our students, families, and community," said Dr. Garcia. "These ceremonies are an opportunity to celebrate this investment in our youngest learners and showcase the new learning environments that await them."

Board President Bill Cotter also addressed attendees, highlighting community support for early childhood education and acknowledging what can be achieved through collaboration for students' benefit.
