FOIA Request to Glendale Heights Police Department regarding active employee roster on November 13, 2025.
The DuPage Policy Journal has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Glendale Heights Police Department. The request seeks access to records that identify all current employees of the department. Specifically, the requested information includes any roster, directory, staffing list, payroll record, or personnel summary that provides details such as name, job title or rank, sex or gender (if available), date of hire or appointment, and age or year of birth (only if included in existing public-facing records).
The request also asks for the most recent version of each type of roster if multiple versions exist within the department, such as HR rosters, payroll rosters, sworn-officer rosters, and civilian-staff rosters. The DuPage Policy Journal emphasizes its role in gathering and reporting news to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency. As part of this effort, they have requested a fee waiver based on their status as a media organization.
The DuPage Policy Journal is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting media companies and advocacy groups in investigating governmental agencies through FOIA and Sunshine Laws.
