Augustana College’s Javi Landin and Illinois Wesleyan University’s Sam Kedzior have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Men’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week.

Landin, a freshman from Pontevedra, Spain, was recognized for his offensive performance. He assisted on four goals during Augustana’s 5-2 win over 16th-ranked North Park in the CCIW opener held in Rock Island. His contributions included assisting on each of the first four goals scored by Augustana, including Jacob Roffman’s match-winning goal in the 21st minute. Earlier in the week, Landin scored the only goal in Augustana’s 1-0 victory against Coe.

Kedzior was honored for his defensive play. The Illinois Wesleyan senior recorded two consecutive shutouts last week, making a total of nine saves in non-conference matches. He made four saves during a 3-0 win at Eureka and added five more saves to help secure a 4-0 clean sheet against Wabash.

The weekly honors are part of an ongoing recognition program by the CCIW that highlights standout performances among men’s soccer student-athletes throughout the season.
