Illinois Wesleyan’s Keira Robinson and Wheaton’s Leah Roe have been named the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) Women’s Soccer Student-Athletes of the Week.
Robinson earned the offensive honor after scoring four goals across three games for Illinois Wesleyan. In a 4-1 win over Knox on September 24, she scored her team’s first two goals in the opening period. She followed up with another two-goal performance in the second period against Wisconsin-Platteville on Saturday. This marks the first time since 2022 that a player from Illinois Wesleyan has recorded multiple goals in back-to-back games. Robinson now has five goals this season, tying her for the second-most in the CCIW.
Roe was recognized for her defensive efforts, recording a 0.00 goals-against average and two shutouts last week for Wheaton. She made four saves during a scoreless draw with Wisconsin-Whitewater and contributed to a 1-0 conference victory over Elmhurst by organizing her defense and making several key plays against an offense that had already scored 29 goals this year.
The CCIW also listed previous weekly award recipients for both offensive and defensive categories throughout September.
