North Park University and Illinois Wesleyan University athletes have been recognized by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) for their performances in women's volleyball matches played August 29-30.

Annaliese Rottman, a senior outside hitter from North Park, earned the Hitter of the Week honor. Rottman recorded a career-high 22 kills during North Park’s season-opening four-set win over Wooster. Over four matches, she totaled 52 kills and averaged 4.33 kills per set. She also posted double-digit kills in two additional matches, with 13 against Muskingum and 11 versus Washington & Jefferson. Rottman finished the weekend with an attack percentage of .245 on 143 attempts.

Kendal Britton, also from North Park, was named Setter of the Week. The junior provided 11.23 assists per set across four victories, including a personal best of 47 assists against Wooster. Britton contributed defensively as well, collecting 29 digs and six service aces through the first four contests. She added to her performance with 37 assists, four kills, and three blocks in the match against Washington & Jefferson.

Illinois Wesleyan’s Kannyn Boyd received Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping her team start the season with three consecutive wins. Boyd registered a league-leading average of 5.91 digs per set and totaled 65 digs for the weekend. Her efforts included reaching over 1,000 career digs following her performance against Earlham, where she had 32 digs along with seven assists and two service aces. Boyd continued her strong play with contributions in sweeps over Greenville and nationally ranked Chicago at the Shirk Center.

The CCIW recognizes outstanding student-athletes weekly based on their performances during conference competition.
