The CCIW Men’s Golf Championship is set to return to Peoria this Thursday at WeaverRidge Golf Club. The 2025 tournament will feature Illinois Wesleyan as a leading contender. The Titans, who have won the league championship twelve times consecutively, are favored to secure the top position at the 54-hole tournament. This prediction comes from a pre-championship ballot conducted earlier this month.

The 2025 CCIW Men's Golf Pre-Championship Coaches' Poll has Illinois Wesleyan leading with the maximum of 64 points and eight first-place votes. Carthage follows in the second position with 49 points and one first-place vote. Wheaton holds the third position with 45 points, closely followed by Millikin with 44 points, North Central with 41 points, and Augustana with 34 points. The gap between these teams is notably narrow at just 15 points.

The poll places North Park, Carroll, and Elmhurst in the seventh, eighth, and ninth positions, respectively.

This year’s event will be the second time in a row that WeaverRidge in Peoria hosts the CCIW Championship. Competitions are scheduled to commence at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
