State Senator Seth Lewis and State Representative Amy Grant are set to host a mobile Department of Motor Vehicles event in Wheaton. Scheduled for Saturday, May 10, the event will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at their shared legislative office on 416 E. Roosevelt Road, Suite #111.

"I am pleased to partner with the Secretary of State’s office for an event that provides residents with convenient access to Department of Motor Vehicles staff," stated Senator Lewis. According to him, a variety of vehicle services will be available during the event.

The services on offer include the REAL I.D., renewal and replacement of driver's licenses and state IDs, free state IDs for seniors over 65, license plate renewal stickers, organ and tissue donor registration, and motor vehicle registration. However, seniors aged 78 and over must visit an established Secretary of State Driver Services facility for driver's license renewal. The payment methods accepted are check, credit card, debit card, or money order, as cash will not be accepted.

Those wishing to attend must register in advance. Appointments can be scheduled by visiting RepGrant.com/Mobile-DMV and filling out the form. Attendees are advised to review the official Illinois Secretary of State website for identification requirements, particularly for those seeking a REAL I.D. "We are happy to provide this service for our shared constituents, and expect to fill every appointment slot," Lewis added, advising potential attendees to secure an appointment promptly.

For further information or assistance with pre-registration, individuals can contact Senator Lewis' office at (630) 349-0645 or reach out to Abby at amccarthy@sgop.ilga.gov.
