The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has recognized its Softball Student-Athletes of the Week for the period spanning March 31 to April 6. Two athletes have emerged as the standouts in their fields.

Clare Rettler, a junior from Carthage, was named Hitter of the Week. Rettler's performances included a notable 13 hits over the week, culminating in a 5-for-5 finish in a win against Augustana. Her overall record for the week was 13-for-21, translating to a batting average of .619. She also scored eight runs, hit two triples, and was successful in all eight steal attempts. Rettler's impressive hitting streak ended at 32 games, marking the longest in Carthage's history and the sixth-longest in Division III history.

The Pitcher of the Week title was awarded to Shylah Dozeman from Wheaton. The sophomore claimed two wins with a 1.03 ERA over 20.1 innings through three appearances. Noteworthy moments included a stint of 6.1 scoreless innings as relief against Carthage, culminating in a victory. Additionally, she secured a win over Elmhurst, allowing one earned run on six hits and achieving a personal best of eight strikeouts.

In previous weeks, notable performances were seen from other athletes. Gwen Hendrick and Jen Kuhn have been acknowledged for their hitting, alongside Rettler. Pitchers like Gianna Certa, Kelsey Bruno, Maddie Conway, and Mallory Holland were also highlighted for their contributions.
