The Men’s Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for matches played from March 31 to April 7 have been announced by the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW).
Corey Mayotte, a senior hitter from Loras, achieved his fifth recognition as the CCIW Hitter of the Week in 2025. Last week, Mayotte secured 25 kills on 41 swings, while keeping his errors to only one in matched victories over Illinois Wesleyan. His performance earned him a .585 hitting percentage, complemented by three service aces, six digs, and two blocks.
Tyler Donovan, a graduate setter from North Central, played a pivotal role in securing two victories that helped NCC clinch the #3 seed in the CCIW Championship. Donovan averaged 11 assists per set, alongside 3.57 digs, 1.14 kills, and 0.43 blocks per set in wins over Augustana and North Park.
Roman Rothermel, a sophomore defensive player from Loras, delivered strong performances with two solo blocks and four block assists in the victory over Illinois Wesleyan last Wednesday. He contributed further with two additional unassisted blocks and an assist in the weekend victory over the Titans.
Across the 2025 season, CCIW has recognized various outstanding performances. Notables include Corey Mayotte for multiple weeks as Hitter of the Week, Tyler Donovan for Setter of the Week, and Roman Rothermel and others in the Defensive category.
