The College Sports Communicators (CSC) recently announced the 2024-25 Academic All-District Women’s Swimming & Diving teams. The announcement on Tuesday recognized 18 student-athletes from six institutions within the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) for their academic and athletic performance.
This recognition honors student-athletes who excel both in the pool and in the classroom. Those selected as Academic All-District honorees are candidates for the CSC Academic All-America ballot. The student-athletes distinguished as CSC Academic All-America finalists are noted with an asterisk and will move on to the national ballot. The final results will be announced on April 22.
The honorees from Augustana include Bella Casanovas, Kendle Mihm, Avery Spacek, and Mara Walker, who is also a finalist. Carthage commendations went to Grace Norman, Jocelyn Strebel, and Maria Gutzweiler. Illinois Wesleyan saw Samantha Borre and Alexa Starkey earning spots on the team. Representing Millikin are Aly Barnes, Grace Meacham, and Kendall Rossignol. North Central student-athletes recognized were Amelia Minarik and Victoria Robinson. From Wheaton, Tess Boyer, indicated as a finalist, Kara Grace Hess, Savannah Jeffery, and Olivia Wiebe were honored.
The selection reflects both athletic prowess and academic achievement, preparing these individuals for the next stage of recognition on the national level.
