CCIW athletes to compete at NCAA indoor nationals in nine events

North Park's Jereme Ombogo and Millikin's Kyle Hensley are among the 14 student-athletes from the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) set to compete at the NCAA Division III Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship. The event will take place this Friday and Saturday at the Golisano Training Center in Rochester, N.Y.

Ombogo is scheduled to participate in two events: the 60 meters and 200 meters. Hensley will aim to defend his national title in the pole vault, being the sole representative from CCIW in this event after winning it as a freshman last year.

The conference will have participants across nine different events, with multiple entries in the 5,000 meter run, high jump, triple jump, and weight throw. North Central leads with five student-athletes qualifying for the competition.

Men’s events are set to commence at 9 a.m. CT on both days of the championship.

Participants include:

- **60 Meter Dash**: Jereme Ombogo from North Park

- **5000 Meter Run**: Joe Langridge from Augustana and Connor Riss from North Central

- **400 Meter Dash**: Evan Lowder from Illinois Wesleyan

- **200 Meter Dash**: Jereme Ombogo from North Park

- **3000 Meter Run**: Braden Nicholson from North Central

- **High Jump**: Nick Walker from Illinois Wesleyan and Cole Oleson from North Central

- **Pole Vault**: Kyle Hensley from Millikin

- **Triple Jump**: James Ammenhauder and Jayden Leise, both from North Central

- **Weight Throw**: Magnus Wells from Augustana; Lucas Leal and Tyler Rose, both from Carthage
