CCIW sends 16 athletes to NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Championships

Sixteen student-athletes from eight College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) men's wrestling programs are set to compete in the NCAA Division III Men’s Wrestling Championships. The event is scheduled to commence on Friday at Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence, R.I.

North Central leads with six qualifiers, followed by Millikin with three and Augustana with two. Championship quarterfinals, consolation second-round wrestle-backs, and consolation third-round matches are slated for Friday. All other rounds, including the championship finals at 7 p.m. ET, will occur on Saturday.

For this year, the Division III Championships Committee has allocated 210 positions for the championships. Each qualifying tournament has advanced its champion, second-place finisher, and third-place finisher from each weight class.

Regional champions from CCIW include Zaren Anderson (157) of Carthage, Dejon Glaster (174) of Millikin, as well as North Central’s Christian Guzman (125) and Bradley Rosen (141).

Elmhurst: Rhenzo Augusto (157)

MSOE: Gavin Graham (184)

North Central: Christian Guzman (125), Bradley Rosen (141), Tyler Starr (149), Alex Villar (165), Javen Estrada (174), Robby Bates (285)

Wheaton: Jackson Punzel (197)
