The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) has announced its selections for the Men's Volleyball Student-Athletes of the Week for matches that took place from March 3 to March 9.
Sophomore Owen Otto from Carthage was recognized as Hitter of the Week. Otto achieved a total of 22 kills and maintained a .419 hitting percentage in victories against North Park and Augustana. During these matches, he recorded eight kills on 16 attempts in a match against North Park and added 14 kills with a .481 hitting percentage when Carthage defeated Augustana in three sets. Otto also contributed five service aces throughout the week, averaging 4.67 points per set.
Junior Ryan Morey, also from Carthage, was named Setter of the Week. Morey earned this title for the second consecutive time after averaging 12 assists per set during the team's wins. He provided 28 assists in their match against North Park and assisted on 44 out of Carthage's 45 kills in their victory over Augustana.
Senior Zack Noland from Carthage received recognition as Defensive Player of the Week. Noland achieved a total of 14 digs across two matches, averaging 2.33 digs per set. His performance included reaching double-digit digs for the sixth time this season with ten digs against North Park.
