Three College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) women's indoor track and field teams have been featured in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Rating Index, released on Tuesday. Elmhurst, which recently secured its first CCIW championship, is ranked eighth nationally. North Central advanced three places to rank 18th, while Augustana made significant progress by climbing 15 spots to reach 19th place, tying their highest position this season.

Among the top-25 teams, only Chatham at number 21 and Ithaca at number 22 experienced a larger increase in rankings than Augustana this week. Elmhurst led with a score of 160 points at the recent CCIW Championship, securing first place. North Central followed in second place with 106.5 points, and Augustana finished fifth with 69 points.

In the most recent rankings, MIT holds the number one spot. Washington University moved up to second place, while Wisconsin-La Crosse dropped to third. The University of Chicago and SUNY Geneseo are positioned fourth and fifth respectively.

The USTFCCCA continues to modernize the Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), which has been used as an objective team ranking system for collegiate indoor and outdoor track and field since 2008.
