North Central College has re-entered the top 10 in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) National Track & Field Indoor Rating Index. The Cardinals are ranked 10th following their performance at the College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin (CCIW) indoor championship.

Last Saturday, North Central claimed its eighth consecutive CCIW indoor title, amassing 198 points. Seven individual events were won by different Cardinals, and 35 student-athletes earned All-CCIW honors by finishing in the top eight for individual events or placing in the top four in relays.

This latest ranking marks a one-position rise from last week for North Central, which has been ranked 10th or higher in five out of six checkpoints this season. Meanwhile, Wisconsin-La Crosse maintains its position at number one, with Wisconsin-Oshkosh at number two. MIT has moved up to third place, Rowan holds fourth, and Lynchburg is fifth.

The USTFCCCA continues to modernize the Track & Field Rating Index (TFRI), which has been used since 2008 as an objective measure for collegiate track and field team rankings.
