Minutes of the April 22, 2024, Public Works & Building Committee:

A. Ald. Cahill motioned to approve the April 22, 2024 Minutes of the Public Works & Building Committee; Ald. Bram seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 3-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram). Minutes approved. 

B. Concrete Streetlight Pole Purchase:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Bram motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Sienko seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

C. 2024 Crack Sealing and Seal Coating Program:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Sienko motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Cahill seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved.

D. 2024 Pavement Striping Program:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Bram motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Cahill seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

E. 2024 Concrete Pavement Patching Program:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Bram motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Sienko seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

F. 2024 Asphalt Rejuvenation (Reclamite) Program:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Cahill motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Sienko seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

G. Purchase of One (1) Chevrolet Silverado EV 3WT:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Bram motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Cahill seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

H. Purchase of One (1) Ford F550 and One (1) Ford F450 - 4X4 Dump Trucks:

Asst. Public Works Director Tiberi presented the agenda item. Ald. Sienko motioned to approve the draft report, Ald. Bram seconded. Voice vote. Motion carried 4-0 (Bastedo, Cahill, Bram, Sienko). Report approved. 

6.   Other Business:

• A meeting was held earlier today with the Mayor, Alderman Brennan, the City Manager, Assistant City Manager and Director of Public Works to discuss the status of the sidewalk referral. (Bastedo)

• A question was asked about why pavement patching was taking place on North End. Assistant Director Tiberi replied that it is due to structural deficiencies. (Bram)
