NAPERVILLE, Ill. — The City of Naperville, in partnership with the Illinois Muslim Chamber of Commerce, will host “Doing Business With the City of Naperville,” a comprehensive workshop that aims to teach participants about doing business with the City as a large company, small business or individual vendor. The workshop will take place from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Naperville Bank and Trust located at 555 Fort Hill Dr. in Naperville. It is free and open to the public by registering at http://bit.ly/doing-business-with-Naperville.
“Naperville offers many opportunities for companies of all sizes to contract with the City to provide services,” says Mayor Scott A. Wehrli. “We invite all those who are interested to attend the workshop to learn more about how the City’s bidding process works and how to become a registered vendor.”
A presentation will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m., including comments from Mayor Wehrli. The session will include information about the City’s procurement process and upcoming vendor needs in construction, public works, consulting and information technology. It will also include information about diversity and inclusion initiatives at the City, as well as a question-and-answer session and time for networking. Participants will be able to begin the vendor registration process during the workshop, if they wish.
“We are thrilled to partner with the City of Naperville to host this workshop reflecting our shared commitment to fostering diversity and economic growth in the community,” says Shafeek Abubaker, president of the Illinois Muslim Chamber of Commerce. “All are invited to attend to learn more about the opportunities available to collaborate with the City.”
