Elmhurst freshman Braxston Redmond has qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Redmond punched his ticket to the NCAA Championships in the 400 meters. At yesterday's Augustana College Last Chance Meet, Redmond ripped off a school-record time of 47.41, shaving over half a second over his previous best time.
Redmond's time currently ranks seventh in the nation and he's the only CCIW athlete to qualify in the men's 400 meters.
The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships will take place on May 26-28 at SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. Mount Union University will serve as the championship host.
The preliminaries of the 400 meters will be on Friday, May 27 at 3:15 pm (EST). The finals of the 400 meters will take place on Saturday, May 28 at 1:20 pmm (EST).
