Roosevelt Road Hotel Properties Redevelopment

Village Hosts Open House & Launches Social Pinpoint Feedback Tool
This past Monday, the Village hosted a Community Open House attended by 175 local constituents, to provide information and receive feedback on the Roosevelt Road Hotel Property Redevelopment. This is the first of a multi-step public engagement process to gather community input.
The Village also launched a Social Pinpoint online tool to gather additional feedback.
Rebuilding Our Downtown
Streetscape project to begins next week. Street closures begin Tuesday, March 15.
Revised traffic flow through the construction area will provide ease of access to all Downtown businesses. All Village parking lots and garages will remain open.
The Village of Glen Ellyn is investing in a once-in-a-generation project to ensure Downtown is a destination for residents and visitors for years to come. The multiphase project will include new sidewalks, roads, accessibility improvements, water and sanitary updates and more. The project will allow the Village to update infrastructure while preserving Glen Ellyn's historic charm.
The first phase will focus on Main Street from Hillside Avenue to the train tracks; Duane Street from Prospect to Forest, Hillside Avenue from Glenwood to the east side of Main.
Visit downtownge.com for project updates and to learn more.
Serve on a Village Commission
Village governance in Glen Ellyn relies on the active participation of residents volunteering their time and effort to sustain the quality of the community. The Village encourages residents to apply to serve on these Boards & Commissions and become involved with Village Government.
Water Billing Transition
The water consumption section of the utility bill can be confusing, especially with billing 4-6 weeks in arrears. Recent upgrades to the meter reading technology will now allow the Village to bill more currently, eliminating the gap between usage and billing. You may have noticed these changes on your most recent bill. To move towards a more current billing cycle, 1 extra week of water usage will be included each month, until your account is two weeks in arrears for billing.
Annual Historic Preservation Commission Awards
The Glen Ellyn Historic Preservation Commission supports homeowners and builders who help preserve our Village’s historic character. Nominations for the annual Historic Preservation Commission Awards are accepted January 1 through April 30 of each year. Learn more about the awards and submit a project for consideration.
