Wheaton North, Willowbrook, Glenbard North, Neuqua Valley, IC Catholic advance to IHSA Football Quarterfinals

Of the 64 teams advancing to the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) quarterfinals next weekend, five are from DuPage County.

In 8A, which includes schools with the largest enrollments in the state, Glenbard North (8-3) in Carol Stream hosts Lockport Township (10-1) and Naperville's Neuqua Valley (10-1) hosts Maine South (10-1) of Park Ridge.

In 7A, Wheaton North (10-1) travels to Villa Park Willowbrook (8-3).

In 3A, IC Catholic (10-1) of Elmhurst hosts Princeton (10-1), from Bureau County in the Illinois Valley.

Fenwick H.S of Oak Park (9-2) also reached the semifinals in 5A.

The Friars are led by four DuPage County stars-- quarterback Kaden Cobb (Naperville), wide receiver Eian Pugh (Naperville), center Jimmy Liston (Hinsdale) and wide receiver Max Reese (Elmhurst).
