2400 Will County residents in their fifties test positive for COVID-19

As of October 1, there have been 2,400 Will County residents in their fifties who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to numbers being reported to the Illinois Department of Public Health.

There have been 36,814 residents in their fifties in the county who had been tested, meaning that six percent of those tested have the coronavirus. Through October 1, there have been 14,331 confirmed COVID-19 cases and 382 deaths from the coronavirus in Will County.

Illinois gathers all of its COVID-19 data from across the state electronically. The reported cases and deaths will fluctuate as additional info is gathered. Chicago was home to one of the first known cases of COVID-19 in the US, as well as it's transmission.
