Graduates earn 49 degrees from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary

About 63.3 percent of the 49 degrees and certificates handed out by Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017-18 were to students in theology and religious vocations programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Lombard conferred 23 doctor's degrees and 8 master's degrees in theology and religious vocations programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in pastoral studies/counseling. Data shows the school gave out 23 doctor's degrees in pastoral studies/counseling, followed by 18 master's degrees in christian studies and 8 master's degrees in divinity/ministry.

The seminary enrolled 235 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 235 programs.
