Analysis: Glen Ellyn pays $5.61 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Glen Ellyn Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 84.9 percent of the $2,308,190 the Glen Ellyn Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.61 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Glen Ellyn contributed $1,959,000 to the fund, which saw a $347,927 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $349,189, or 15.1 percent, in 2018. Another $1 came from other unspecified sources.
