Analysis: Itasca pays $5.94 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Itasca Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 85.4 percent of the $1,367,671 the Itasca Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $5.94 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Itasca contributed $1,168,415 to the fund, which saw a $229,067 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $196,565, or 14.4 percent, in 2018. Another $2,691 came from other unspecified sources.
