BENSENVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT 2: SD2 closing schools through spring break, implementing e-learning plans

Closed 1860909 1920

Bensenville School District 2 recently issued the following announcement.

There have been no confirmed coronavirus cases in District 2.

However, many schools in the region are closing in hopes of slowing the spread of this illness. We are joining them.

The Village of Bensenville, Bensenville Community Public Library, Bensenville Park District, Fenton High School, and Bensenville School District 2 have jointly decided to close all of their facilities through spring break. (Click here for the joint letter from the Bensenville government bodies.)

Starting Monday, March 16, Bensenville School District 2 school buildings will be closed to students for three weeks. We hope to reopen Monday, April 6.

On Wednesday, March 18, students will begin e-learning at home.

Details on these e-learning plans will be provided by Tuesday, March 17. Several days of lesson plans are already created, and staff will still be working and available to assist families with this transition.

We will continue to update you as this situation develops. We appreciate your partnership as we address the challenges of this uncertain time.
