NAPERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT: Naperville Police Issue 18 Seat Belt and Child Safety Seat Citations during Recent Enforcement Campaign

Police 10

Naperville Police Department issued the following announcement on Nov. 5.

Naperville Police issued 18 seat belt and child safety seat citations and made one impaired driving arrest during a recent Halloween enforcement effort.

The Naperville Police Department was one of many law enforcement agencies throughout Illinois that participated in this effort around Halloween in an effort to save lives by getting impaired drivers off the roads and more people buckled up. Extra emphasis was placed on enforcement during late-night hours, when statistics show the most unbuckled and impaired driving fatalities occur.

This recent law enforcement campaign was made possible by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns.
