CITY OF WOOD DALE: Wood Dale Welcomes Two Firms Relocating From Elk Grove
City of Wood Dale issued the following announcement on Jan. 22.
The City of Wood Dale recently worked with Hamilton Partners to facilitate the redevelopment of a former office building located at 1235 N. Mittel Blvd into an 81,430 square-foot industrial use property that will be leased by both Caesarstone USA, Inc. and Heidolph NA LLC, two firms currently located across the county line in Elk Grove Village.
Caesarstone Ltd., founded in 1987, is an industry leader in and was the pioneer of the natural quartz surfaces market. Its head office is located in Sdot Yam, Israel with manufacturing plants in Israel and Georgia. Caesarstone USA Inc. will operate its Midwest showroom, distribution, and sales operations in the Wood Dale facility.
Heidolph Instruments GmbH & CO. KG, founded in 1938, is a manufacturer and an innovative leader in the production of premium laboratory equipment. Its head office is located in Schwabach, Germany with its manufacturing plants located in Germany. Heidolph NA LLC will operate its North American headquarters in Wood Dale, also coordinating its sales and customer support activities.
“These two companies are relocating into one of DuPage County’s premier business locations,” said Wood Dale Director of Community Development Ed Cage. “With low DuPage tax rates, neighbors like Amazon, and easy access to community resources, you can’t ask for a better site.”
The new facility is located just off the recently completed Illinois Route 390 with localized access to O’Hare Airport and the western Chicagoland suburbs. The relocation of these firms brings to the City sales tax revenue, job creation and an increase in the daytime population that will affect Wood Dale’s local economy. The City is pleased to welcome these new businesses and looks forward to them settling into their new location.
