At Wheaton College, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 54 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Wheaton enrolled 2,900 students in fall 2017, including 2,391 in undergraduate and 509 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

23 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 71 percent are residents of other states. 7 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Asian (9 percent).

The school admitted 85 percent of the 1,693 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 40 percent enrolled.
