62 percent of applicants to Benedictine University were admitted for fall 2017

At Benedictine University, 82 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 56 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Lisle enrolled 5,100 students in fall 2017, including 2,884 in undergraduate and 2,216 in graduate programs, data shows. 12.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

70 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 29 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (44 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (17 percent).

The school admitted 62 percent of the 5,337 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 13 percent enrolled.
