Anchor Fire Department responded to 10 calls in 2017 - 42.9 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Anchor included nine fires - four structure fires, two vehicle fires and three other fires.

In all, the department saw $60,000 in fire loss - or about $6,667 per fire.

The department also received one false call.
