Report: Benjamin spent $16,252 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Benjamin School District 25 is up 25 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $13,038 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $16,252 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 730 to 636.

Benjamin's spending in 2016-17 was 25 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
