Report: Marquardt spent $14,692 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Marquardt School District 15 is up 18 percent from five years ago, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Dupage County school district spent $12,482 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $14,692 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 2735 to 2623.

Marquardt's spending in 2016-17 was 13 percent higher than the state average of $12,973.
