Analysis: Bensenville pays $3.37 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Bensenville Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 77.2 percent of the $1,360,707 the Bensenville Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $3.37 for every $1 from pension members, according to a DuPage Policy Journal analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Bensenville contributed $1,050,931 to the fund, which saw a $143,728 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $311,402, or 22.9 percent, in 2016.
