Lisle Junior High School students gained insights into personal finance at the recent “Economics for Success” Junior Achievement program.
Topics covered in the program included budgeting, credit knowledge and career training, and tudents also took part in self-awareness education and life choice skills learning, a Dec. 17 Lisle Community Unit School District 202 release said.
“In order to better understand these important concepts, students participated in a number of activities about the relationship of education to careers and other life choices,” the release said. “One activity in particular focused on the connection between personal finance, education and career while other activities helped students learn how different jobs provide different monthly salaries, how good budgeting can help them pay for the goods and services they want, and the advantages and disadvantages of using credit."
