THE BOARD OF TOWN TRUSTEES met at the office of the Town Clerk located at One Illinois Boulevard, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169-3314 on December 21,2016.

Supervisor Wroblewski called to order the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting at 7:00 p.m.
Clerk Heneghan called the roll and the Pledge of Allegiance followed.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Supervisor Wroblewski invited members of the public to address the Board. Mr. Tim Litner, representing Allied Republic Services, stated Allied Republic Services has been in contract with the Township since 2006 and are able to provide unlimited yard waste services for those residents in the unincorporated area. Mr. Litner stated his competitor has provided a bid that includes a sticker program, which would not be beneficial for residents or the Township. Mr. Litner requested the board review Republic Services bid proposal again before making a final decision on an Refuse provider.

Moved by Trustee Dunham and seconded by Trustee Mytych to approve the minutes of the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting of November 15,2016. All in favor. Motion carried.
Committee for Disabled Citizens: Written report on file. No action items. Supervisor Wroblewski stated the Chirstmas Party and Musicale went very well.
Senior Citizens Service Committee: Written report on file. No action items. Director Barnicke stated it has been a busy holiday season.
Transportation Department: Written report on file. No action items. Director Vosmik stated the bus cameras are being installed and will be finished on December 22, 2016.
General Assistance Department: Written report on file. No action items. Director Wolf stated it has been a busy holiday season and Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi will be visiting the food pantry on December 22,2016.
Assessors Department: Written report on file. No action items. Assessor Lawson noted the reassessment period is over and he expects there to be a huge turnout for the Board of Review, with a tentative start date of January 3, 2017 and 30 day filing period. Assessor Lawson mentioned a tentative seminar date on January 17, 2017.
Mental Health Committee: Written report on file. No action items.
Highway Commissioner Report: No written report on file. No action items. Highway Commissioner Kegarise stated the Highway Department has been plowing snow and salting streets.
Employment Support Services: Written report on file. No action items.
Kenneth Young Center: Written report on file. No action items.
Supervisor's Report: Supervisor Wroblewski reported on the following:

Highway Commissioner stated he would like the levy to be increased to the.07 CPr. Moved by Trustee Dunham and seconded by Trustee Mytych for Approval of the Amended Ordinance 2016-2017 #04, An Ordinance Authorizing the Levy and Collection of Taxes for the Road and Bridge Purposes for the Town of Schaumburg Road District for the Tax Year 2016, Collectable in 2017. D. Approval of Resolution 2016-2017 # 11, A Resolution Awarding a Contact and Authorizing the Issuance of a Notice of Award for Residential Refuse and Recycling Collections Service for the Township of Schaumburg, Illinois. Moved by Trustee Mytych and seconded by Trustee Dunham for Approval of Resolution 2016-2017 #11, A Resolution Awarding a Contact and Authorizing the Issuance of a Notice of A ward for Residential Refuse and Recycling Collections Service for the Township of Schaumburg, Illinois. Trustee Dunham stated she believes residents will not be comfortable with changing from an unlimited program to a sticker program. Supervisor Wroblewski stated the two bids received compare different programs and would like go to bid again for comparable proposals. Discussion followed. Moved by Trustee Mytych and seconded by Trustee Vinnedge to reject all proposals and return proposal bonds submitted with each proposal, to advertise for new proposals based upon the "Unlimited Program - including Yard Waste" service and to extend the Township'S current contract for refuse and recycling collection services with Allied, from December 31, 2016 to February 28, 2017, to allow for the advertisement of new proposals, provided that Allied agrees to such extension. Call: Trustee Vinnedge-Aye, Trustee Dunham-Aye, Trustee Mytych-Aye, Trustee Jani-Aye, Supervisor Wroblewski-Aye. Ayes-5, Nays-O. Motion carried.
