New Business

1. Kathy Mackenzie reviewed the Police Sergeant promotional process testing scheduled for September 8, 2016 with the commissioners.

2. Kathy Mackenzie shared with the commissioners the statistics on the Police Officer applicants – Final numbers: Typically I/O Solutions sees a 15-20% attrition rate from online application purchases to completed applications submitted. We are just slightly higher than the norm at about 23% (purchases: 524, complete applications: 404, eligible:

377). We did have a dip in the number of application purchases from 2014 at 694 to 2016 at 524. Other police departments are experiencing this dip in numbers as well.

Action Taken

1. A motion was made by Commissioner Mary Schulte to authorize to hire firefighter/paramedic candidate Katherine Dye Webster #58. It was seconded by Commissioner David Blaydes. The motion carried with a unanimous voice vote.
